PPTP Out Disabled by Default

The Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 firewall policy blocks outgoing PPTP connections in Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 Premium Edition SP1

This is one of those by design things that the SBS team saddled us with. The KB will walk you through the official way to add PPTP outbound to your rule set.

I've got to get that KB changed.
It's horribly written and contains a plethora of completely inaccurate statements.
"doesn't use PPTP to communicate with the SBS server"... Jeez-o-Pete!

Yeah, all it really needs to say is that by design they didn't include a rule for PPTP out.

Actually, the cause, explaination and solution are all wrong.
Basically, there's nothing useful or even actionable in that KB...
I've submitted the KB change today.
